1. Who is responsible
Stephen Robertson, trading as ChiefMethod is the controller of your personal data. Postal address: 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. Contact: hello@chiefmethod.com.
2. What we collect
| Data | When |
|---|---|
| Name, email | When you request a free guide, buy, or apply |
| Your answer to "Do you train fasted?" | Fasting Timeline sign-up |
| Purchase and payment records (product, amount, date, payment status and refunds) | When you buy. Stripe handles your card details. |
| Application answers — goals, training history, equipment, schedule; contact details you provide | When you apply or enquire |
| Health information — injuries, pain, conditions | Only if you choose to give it in an application and give separate consent |
| First and last referral links: source and campaign labels, ad click identifiers (fbclid, gclid, gbraid, wbraid), landing path and time | Only after you allow optional measurement. If present, an existing Meta browser cookie identifier may also be read; this does not send data to Meta. |
| Consent choice, purposes, notice version and time; download requests and email sending status | When you choose your preferences, request a file or we send an email |
Attribution contains only permitted referral fields and a cleaned page path, not arbitrary URL queries or signed access links. Before your first cookie choice, referral information stays in page memory only; it is not saved or attached to a submission unless you accept measurement. Rejecting or withdrawing clears optional tracking information from your browser.
3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis
| Purpose | Lawful basis (UK GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Send the free guide and our email series | Your consent (the sign-up checkbox) |
| Deliver what you bought, provide access, re-send files and process refunds | Performance of a contract |
| Keep purchase records for tax | Legal obligation |
| Review your application or enquiry and write your programme | Taking steps at your request before a contract; contract |
| Connect referral links to guide requests, applications and verified purchases | Your consent (optional measurement in cookie settings) |
| Protect accounts, restrict access and prevent abuse | Our legitimate interests in operating a secure service |
Email sign-up consent, optional website measurement and consent to use health information are separate choices. Accepting measurement does not subscribe you to emails or authorize advertising-provider tracking. Email sending status does not prove that you opened or read an email; this shop does not currently ingest email-open or email-click events.
4. Health information
Health information is special category data. We only use it if you give it in a Blueprint application and tick the consent box, and only to write your programme. It is never used for marketing and never shared except with the processors below that store it. You can withdraw consent at any time; we will then delete it, although we may no longer be able to write your programme.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. The shop uses payment, email, database and hosting services:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Resend — sending operational and opted-in marketing email; application health answers are not included in notification emails
- Neon / PostgreSQL — application records
- Replit — website hosting and private file storage
Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API are not active. Their measurement foundation is disabled by default: current preferences cannot grant its separate marketing-measurement permission, so it does not load Meta scripts or send conversion events. No email or health answers are included in its prepared data. Any future Meta measurement requires a separately approved activation, updated information and a separate marketing-measurement opt-in; your current measurement choice is not that opt-in.
Provider hosting locations and international-transfer arrangements depend on the configured service. Contact hello@chiefmethod.com for information about the processors and safeguards applicable to your data.
6. Storage and retention
Your current cookie preference expires after 180 days and requires a fresh choice. Consented referral information in your browser is eligible for up to 90 days; expired touches are excluded when read. Withdrawing measurement removes this browser referral store and accessible tracking cookies and stops future attribution collection.
Referral snapshots already attached to an application, lead or purchase are kept with that record; changing a browser preference does not automatically erase these database records. Operational purchase and security records may still be needed to deliver your order or meet legal obligations. Automated database deletion schedules are not currently implemented. Contact us to request deletion or discuss retention, including health information; we assess requests and any records we must retain.
7. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete, restrict or move your data, and object to how we use it. Withdraw email consent any time with the unsubscribe link. Email hello@chiefmethod.com; we reply within one month. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113.
8. Cookies and browser storage
Essential cookies protect access and remember your preference. Optional first-party referral data uses browser local storage only after measurement consent. Accept and Reject are available on the first-visit banner; Cookie settings in the footer lets you change or withdraw your choice. Rejecting measurement does not prevent you from requesting a guide, applying or buying when the shop is open. No Meta Pixel, CAPI, Google Analytics or advertising-provider event requests are enabled by this shop.
