1. Who we are
Stephen Robertson, trading as ChiefMethod. Postal address: 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. Email: hello@chiefmethod.com.
2. What these terms cover
These terms apply when you buy from chiefmethod.com:
- Digital products — downloadable PDFs: the £19 Body Armour protocols and the £79 Body Armour Complete Edition.
- The Blueprint — a personal programme written for you (£295), by application.
- The Assessment — £750, one-off. A 90-minute session assessing movement, strength and history, with a written report and a clear plan. By video, anywhere in the world. Or in person in London.
- The Method — by application, limited places. Remote: £2,000 a month, three video sessions a week, worldwide. Private: £5,000 a month, three in-person sessions a week in London, four places. Three-month minimum.
Assessment requests and Method applications do not take payment or create a subscription. Free guides are covered by these terms except §4–6.
Coaching services — AWAITING SOLICITOR REVIEW
Draft only. These coaching provisions require solicitor review. Coaching checkout remains disabled until the owner explicitly enables it. These draft provisions do not replace your statutory consumer rights.
Location and format
Assessment: By video, anywhere in the world. Or in person in London. Remote Method: by video, worldwide. Private Method: in person in London.
Outside London in person? Available by arrangement, with travel and accommodation covered by the client. Any arrangements and costs must be agreed in writing before a booking.
Approval and payment in advance
Submitting an application takes no card details and incurs no charge. Payment follows approval, and no work begins before payment. The Blueprint (£295) and Assessment (£750) are paid in full. Assessment booking happens after payment. Approved payment links expire after seven days.
The Method Remote is £2,000/month; Private is £5,000/month. The first month is paid on approval to secure the place. Subsequent payments are collected automatically each month in advance on the billing date. Where that date does not exist in a shorter month, Stripe uses the last day of that month. There is a three-month minimum commitment, then 30 days’ notice to cancel. A notice submitted during the minimum term cannot end the ordinary subscription before the later of that term ending or the notice period ending.
You may instead pay the first three months in full: £6,000 Remote or £15,000 Private, with no discount. Monthly advance billing begins after the prepaid period. The approval and checkout show the chosen plan.
Assessment credit
A qualifying £750 Assessment paid within the 30 days before Method approval is credited automatically to the first Method invoice only. The customer email and Stripe customer must match. Each Assessment can be credited once, cannot be transferred, and cannot be applied to Blueprint. Refunded or disputed Assessments are not eligible. An Assessment refunded after its credit has already been used requires review; no additional charge is taken automatically.
Cancellation and rescheduling
You normally have 14 days to cancel an online service contract. If you expressly request work to start within that period and then cancel, a proportionate amount may be payable for services actually supplied. Full performance ends that right only where the required prior express consent and acknowledgement have been obtained. The minimum term does not remove statutory cancellation rights.
Before paying, you must expressly confirm: “I ask for my service to begin now and understand that if I cancel within 14 days I pay for what has been delivered”. Merely paying is not treated as that express request.
Please give at least 48 hours’ notice to reschedule a session. Requests with less notice require individual review; these draft terms do not impose an automatic forfeiture or override statutory rights. Contact hello@chiefmethod.com for cancellation, rescheduling or refunds.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling. Not VAT registered. No VAT is charged. Digital products are paid for through Stripe at checkout and are one-off payments; nothing renews. The Blueprint, Assessment and Method are arranged after an application or enquiry is accepted, with payment terms confirmed before payment.
4. Delivery of digital products
After payment you receive a download link by email and on the confirmation page. Links are personal and time-limited; a new link can be requested at any time by replying to your delivery email.
5. Your right to cancel — digital products
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. For digital content, that right ends once the download begins, provided you agreed to this before paying. At checkout you are asked to confirm that you want immediate access and that you understand you lose the right to cancel once access starts. Because of this, digital products are non-refundable once you have access.
6. Faulty downloads
Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected. If a file is corrupted, will not open, or is not as described, tell us and we will replace it; if we cannot, you are entitled to a refund.
7. The Blueprint
- You apply first. No payment is taken until your application is accepted.
- Work begins after payment and your express request to start. Service cancellation rights are described in the draft coaching terms above; payment alone is not a waiver of your rights.
- Your programme is delivered within 3 working days from receipt of the completed application and payment.
- The programme is written from the information you give us. Please be complete and honest, particularly about injuries and conditions.
8. Licence
Our products are for your personal use. You may print them for yourself. You may not share, resell, upload or distribute them, or use them to coach others commercially, without written permission. All photographs, text and designs are © ChiefMethod.
9. Health and safety
ChiefMethod products are training and education, not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Exercise, fasting and breath practices carry risk. Read the safety page in every product. Speak to your GP before starting if you have a medical condition, an injury, are pregnant, or are unsure. Stop and seek help if you feel faint, unwell, or have sharp pain. You are responsible for training within your limits.
10. Our liability
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be excluded by law. Otherwise, our total liability for any purchase is limited to the price you paid for it. We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable.
11. Complaints
Email hello@chiefmethod.com. We aim to reply within five working days.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your home courts.
